    nah not quite. the prize pool is split between the team. each team is 5 players. As well as that, they divide the prize pool into 1st/2nd/3rd places. they also have to pay their managers and all that other s---. 84 out of the 100 highest earning gamers last year were all from DotA2. Top 5 earnt $2 million+ last year year. all from DotA2 and nothing else.

    But for example, American team Evil Geniuses earnt over 2 million per player in the span of 12 months and 3 tournaments.
