    quite a simple technique actually. You get them to pose for the cover and you take the photo, but you make sure they are holding a blank book of sorts - preferably a colour that isn't similar to colours in the pic, as it's easier to single out/mask. (for all we know they may not have even been books, but blank white pieces of wood.)

    once you've got the photo, you then import it into photoshop, duplicate the image 5 times, then shrink them and distort them to cover the blank books they are holding. The image of them holding a blank book is now so tiny, it looks as if they are "already on the textbook" while posing for it. If you look at the books they are holding, there is no reflective lighting, the shadows around their arms where they hold the books look dodgy and sista on the left has a polygonal muscular looking bicep arm, even though it's clear that she's a fat piece of s---.

    Furthermore, if you could zoom in on the text books they are holding, you'd find they are different/not the actual textbook cover
