    I'm not into rock music much. I've heard some of the essentials though.

    Fav genre besides rock would be soul for me

    tbh i feel like the instrumentation is just as devastating as the vocals, if not more
    also i'm not sure how that makes it "barely even rock"

    And yeah Jimi is my favorite rock artist. All 3 of the Experience albums are great. The first one is an all time favorite of mine.

    I also notice I tend to be attracted awards charismatic artists and Jimi def has that quality so that helps

    the music by itself without the vocals is pretty happy sounding tbh its the juxtaposition between the vocals and music that makes it devastating
