Jun 21, 2015 Been busy as h--- haven't been active in general...Imma listen to I Need War now. About The Money aged extremely well, I wouldn't say it was the first Thug song I heard (that I can't recall either) but it was the one that made me start to think "hmm this guy isn't the indecipherable rapper I thought he was". A nice late triumph in T.I's storied career as well.
Jun 21, 2015 Then why'd you come in this thread? jus tryina figure out how your head works thats all!
Jun 21, 2015 12. Get That Money A fantastic example of how just the different inflections Thug places on a line can elevate it above par..run it up run it up..get money money Even though its s bit low-key throughout, from that first random instance of harmonizing a few seconds into the track, all the way to its somber end, I'm hooked to Thug's drawl, shift in pitches, and various (surprisingly clever) references. And without any lyrics to reference, and not actually having an encyclopedic knowledge of his life as most assume, it makes piecing the puzzle together even more entertaining. "I dedicate this one to Franklin...MJ....I dedicate this one to blanket (Bankhead?)" I don't understand how someone can listen to this guy switch up the pace, flip the script, and alter the tempo at the drop of a hat, and not be in awe at some point. go go...there go that money, chase it chase it also, if you cant see the difference between Thug joking about being "constipated" and Em doing it -- then you're probably already banned from posting in this thread lol. js oh and: TEMPURPEDIC MY b---- BOOTY....BOTTOM OF THE BOAT...HER COOCHIE. @Cain @Squid @Big Mitch @Peter Parker @ImmortalTechnique @Chigzzer @FlawlessT @Acid Sav @zazou @Fire Squad @Ordinary Joel @Enigma @CharlieWork @Joshua Smoses @Swizz @6ixgawd @Cyreides @Skippy @WPG @M.I.C. @George Washington @Loyalty @JCinator @Meero @ORoxo @Michael Scott @Nori
Jun 21, 2015 TEMPURPEDIC MY b---- BOOTY BOTTOM OF THE BOAT, HER COOCHIE This song is bomb haha. Idk why but that's one of my favorite lines from him. At least right now.
Jun 22, 2015 Clever end creative, that's the words. d--- it's the first time a rapper grow on me that fast @Narsh . I mean 2 weeks ago i though i was terrible tbh Shame on me
Jun 22, 2015 13. Jun 22, 2015 thing is, Stoner is anything but a typical druggie track...if you read that fader cover thug had you get a better of the story he's trying to tell re: the Fabo references, Bankhead, etc “d---, I used to want to be like D4L. Everybody who rapped, I wanted to be like. Pretty sure I don’t want to be like them now, though”
Jun 22, 2015 cool, so tbf you should probably check out his highest rated projects (1017 Thug, Rich g---: Tha Tour, Barter 6) or these starter kits or the songs in the OP of this thread...anything so that you're not just blindly hating on the guy with over like 300 tracks to his name thug is consistently putting out the best music in hip hop at a rate which no one else is even close to matching
Jun 22, 2015 i will check them out, i'm more of a 90's to 2008 guy though g so i doubt i will like it but i will listen.
