Jun 22, 2015 a lot of thug is classic hip hop just exaggerated and twisted into his weird, eccentric character. there are endless melodies, flows, types of delivery etc that he uses if you can get used to the idea that you'll have to listen to him for a little bit before you can start to understand the way he writes, you'll definitely find something you enjoy

Jun 22, 2015 you ever like wayne tho? cause its almost the same situation...wayne, although he was like the best rapper alive at one point, was kinda ignored and discredited by so many people (including me) and yeah i can understand him pretty easily on almost every song now..but thats part of the enjoyment. like he goes from indecipherable to being immediately quotable once you get used to him, and its awesome when that happens but even then, part of the fun is also figuring out what a line is/means months after youve been in love with the song its from lol

Around New Years tracks like this, pelican fly, choke (w/ nipsey hustle) etc were leaking, setting the year of the infamous thug-gate off in proper fashion. Dundeal crafts a goofy yet almost operatic beat that acts as the perfect cushion for thugs fluctuating vocals and stark adlibs ("sheesh! sheesh!"). I'm doin my best, like the 5th grade test! Gotta make it to the 6th! (For what?)
