Still can't believe Iniesta and David Luiz made it into Team Of The Year. Another year where two players that shouldn't have even been on the short list make it into the final team.

Must s--- for Ronaldo deep down though, knowing he'll always be #2 to Messi.

Ronaldo deserved it big time, what he did for Real Madrid this year and basically everything he's done since he's come to Spain is beyond remarkable. Zidane will always be my idol but CR7 is the best player I've ever seen to play for us...Fifa really continues to f--- up on the team of the year so many players had better years than David Luiz, T. Silva and Iniesta. I also disagreed with Low's award since Germany won the world cup in spite of him, should have gone to Simeone.

This price is for people that cant make up their own mind who is the best player so they need confirmation by others.

But  for Ronaldo, he really likes to get the gold ball.

In the end its statistic and whoever media hypes up that wins the award.

Ribery in top 3 last year was laughable:laff:

Very well said, it's been over glorified for a long time although that may have been a result of the demonic form of Messi and Cristiano. The collective part of football has become almost forgotten, great players need great teams. I used to like this award better when the Ballon d'Or used to be it's own thing.

    Term-X relevant.

The problem is that players vote for team of the year, Luiz is pretty likeable as a person. Eden Hazard needs to start networking.. :khaled:

Yeah but Ribery got a good amount of goals and assists and created almost double the goal scoring chances than almost everyone else did in 2013. So why is Ribery being in the top 3 last year laughable?

Cause to me there was players that were more important in that Bayern team that won everthing.

For example Lahm, Bastian S, Robben, Muller. But thats just my opinion, Ribery is a very good player but not even a top 10 for me

Hazard has Nike behind him and if he continues to improve in his career he will get a bigger push...the big problem is Neymar who atm and probably for a long time will be a bigger media darling.

On another note I'm excited about the future after Ronaldo & Messi, with all the great young players that are already making a name for themselves. It will be interesting which ones will stand-out each season.

I agree with that statement as of now, but in 2013 he was their best player in terms of attack, maybe Lahm or Neuer could have taken the 3rd spot last year but its debatable

Can't belive David Luiz and Thiago silva made into this team.... such a bad world cup for them and Silva isn't the same player in PSG now.

Yeah Ribery was more important for the in Bundesliga, Dont think Robben was even a constant starter for them in the Bundesliga in the frist half of 2013

Yeah I agree should have been boateng and Godin in those spots, but at least silva had a good first half in 2014 and wasn't involved in the 7-1 defeat in the WC
