Don't really have one. My state doesn't have a NBA team so I just have favorite players.

Why do ppl do this. You disagree with me so now I don't know what I'm talking about.

KD is a legitimate great shooter. Every metric shows him being a better shooter from almost everywhere on the court. Kobe was a volume scorer, not a great shooter.

You don't know what you're talking about, imbecile. A better shooting percentage does not equate to being a better shooter you simple Simon mother f-----.

Seriously, have you seen any footage of Kobe pre 2010 before his shooting hand was literally permanently destroyed?

So what are you using to support your claim Kobe is a better shooter than KD? KD not only shoots a better percentage overall but he's way more proficient of a shooter from various zones on the floor and in all circumstances (spot up, off dribble, driving, etc.). The only real advantage Kobe holds is in the mid range and that's really because the modern NBA shuns the mid range in favor of 3s and shots around the basket.

And I'm familiar with Afro Kobe, #8 Kobe, post r--- Kobe, born again #24 Kobe, and I should have retired 2-3 years earlier Kobe. So miss me with that. KD is a legit 50/40/90 guy. No only is he a better shooter than Kobe he's a better scorer.

KD definitely a better 3 point shooter, aside from that and maybe rebounding I would give everything else to Kobe. Defending/ball handling/playmaking/toughness/clutch factor all go to the Mamba.

He's a better shooter from all zones except the corner 3 I think.

Kobe in the clutch is also vastly overrated. I haven't looked them up but I'm sure KD has better crunchtimd stats.

Are we going to act like Kobe didn't get beat by the pistons in the finals and then tried to force a trade out of LA to Detroit?

There's more that goes into clutch rating than just hitting the last shot. The plays in the 4th leading up to that moment are just as if not more important. Kobe's clutch highlight reel is 10x longer than a lot of players for a reason.

Wow way to change the story to fit your narrative lol..

Lakers got beat by the Pistons in 2004, Kobe demanded a trade(not to Detroit btw, Chicago was the main rumor) in 2007.

His highlight reel was longer because he hit a ton of shots. But he's also missed a ton of shots. I may be wrong but I'm sure KD is better in the clutch by almost every metric( final shot, shots in the last 24, shots in the last 5 of a close game ).

Lol it was a stretch but Detroit was definitely a top destination and Kove ultimately controlled where he went. No one was going to trade for him if he wasn't going to re up with them.

He didn't wanna leave, just felt management was stale after moving on from Shaq and it was his only play to get them competitive again after reupping. He spent a few of probably his best years selling out Staples Center and playing alongside a cast of d leaguers.

Well he did play a hand in this. Should've been more grateful that he was playing alongside the most dominant Big of our time.

So beefing with Shaq means one of the most skilled offensive weapons in league history deserved to start a playoff series with Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, Devean George, Luke Walton, and Chris Mihm?? Odom was nice but d--- that team was trash before Pau got there.

Shaq left cuz he felt disrespected the Lakers didn't give him the max extension he wanted when he wanted it.

Imo Kobe had nothing to do with that other than the Lakers knowing he'd have more value long term than Shaq at that point of their careers.

The trade to Detroit was done. Kobe vetoed it, casual.

Spo didn't start off with them. He had a mediocre team around Wade and got them in the playoffs his first year after we had the worst record in the NBA the year before and drafted f---ing Beasley lol.

Also, I know it's easy to say that anyone could've coached those big 3 teams and had success, but Spo is easily the best coach LeBron has ever played for. There's a reason LeBron had his best, most efficient years in Miami. Spo had a legit system and arguably out coached the greatest coach ever, Popovich, in 2013. Spo was also one of the first coaches to successfully implement small ball in those big 3 years. Also, why isn't Phil Jackson criticized for having the most talented rosters ever to coach en route to all of his rings the way we penalize other guys like Spo, Kerr, Rivers, etc. (not saying you do, just bringing this up lol)

Spo is probably the best coach in the NBA at making mid-game adjustments too. Won us a bunch of playoffs series, notably Indy in 2013 when he decided to do pnr with Chalmers and LeBron, with Chalmers rolling to the basket. It was genius.

Spo has also maximized his talent more than Brad Stevens has IMO. This was only the second year he's ever missed the playoffs and one of the years was when we lossed LeBron, Wade missed a ton of games, and Bosh went down for half the season. What he was able to do with 8 (EIGHT!!!) former D-Leaguers and all of the injuries (also losing the entire franchise in D-Wade) this season was incredible. We missed the playoffs by 1/2 a game when we were projected to be a bottom 3-5 team. We played like a 60 win team after that 11-30 start (which was the result of the most injuries in the NBA)

He's a better playoff coach (11-15 playoff record w/out LeBron, and one of the years we played the C's big 3; and stole a game!) This is the only year Stevens has made it through the first round if I'm not mistaken. (gonna have to fact check)

I guess I'm not really trying to say he's better than Stevens, but Spo is a criminally underrated coach, and is easily top 5 in the NBA. Just wanted to shed some light on my boy haha and sort of make a case for him getting COTY. I could go off for longer, but I'm gonna go play some pickup. I may even add some stuff later.

    No order:
    Spo
    Stevens
    Carlisle
    Brooks?
    Snyder?
    D'Antoni?

Also tagging @Modest cuz he was talking coaches with me earlier.
