ya'll hate the Durant signing but would've had jerseys at your doorstep immediately if he signed with your team.

Skip Bayless tearing into Lebron pretty hard. Saying he ran out of gas 3rd period and no 3 pointers in the first half. Any stat against Lebron he uses lol I like this guy.

Agreed with your entire post until the last paragraph, LeBron is absolutely chasing a legacy that isn't his but I don't think his love for his teammates is disingenuous at all.

Too much bitching and moaning about it lately, for the next few years we'll get to witness dominance we might never see again.

Not sure moving to Philly would have the same effect as moving to the Warriors though.... :)

I don't think everyone's against him leaving OKC, he moved to a team that might possibly sweep the playoffs and what are the odds of it going to happen again.

I mean they won 73 games last year, but they also lost to CLE in the Finals and beat them the year before without Kyrie & Love, taking 6 games to do so. There was no guarantee they'd have been able to ever beat the Cavs at full strength.

When you're a free agent you wanna be in the best spot to win and in a culture that best suits your needs/skills. KD was lucky to able to find that thanks to Curry being so underpaid these last 2 seasons. Like he mentioned a week ago, it's not his job to keep parity & competition alive in the NBA.

I never disputed that they weren't built through the draft? When the Cavs acquired Love via trade, Lebron was trying to reassemble the big three he had in Miami. In no way shape or form do I believe for a minute that he was trying to form this historically great team that would dominate every team in its path. No one has seen dominance like this before so to suggest Lebron was trying to aim for what the Warriors are now is pretty far-fetched. Also, the Warriors were already an up and coming team when Lebron came back to Cleveland. They won 47 games in '12 and got to the conference semi finals. They won 51 games in 13' but lost first round. Anyone who knew anything about basketball could see they were bound to be a competitor in the near future. It wasn't like they came out of no where.

Also, like Fitzy suggested, my grudge isn't even with the great players they've drafted. My grudge is that after a historic season where they broke the regular season record and nearly (& should have) won the championship, they get the 2nd best player in the league. I'm not mad at the team either, I'm mad at KD for being the biggest p---- the league has ever seen and the league for pushing this and allowing it to happen. As great as the warriors were last season, they were beatable. This warriors team is not beatable. Not in a 7 game series and when 3 out of their 4 all stars are playing like this. As long as they stick together, everything from the regular season to post season is just going to be a formality.

i picked the warriors to win the series from the start, and i definitely still think they'll win. but i think some of you guys are overreacting a bit. if i'm not mistaken, the warriors won game 1 and game 2 in LAST years nba finals' by a large margin--just like they did in this years nba finals

If I wanted to see this type of dominance, I'd watch women's college basketball and see UConn beat everyone by 30.

You don't think Lebron wanted to be the most dominant team possible when he got back to Cleveland and was behind all of the moves they made? Of course he did, he just got out super teamed. Nothing he or the league could (or should have) done about it.

I love the NBA and I'm in favor of great players doing historically great things.

I'm sure he wanted to be a great team. To insinuate he wanted to be what the warriors are now or that's what he was aiming for is very far fetched though. He was trying to assemble what he had in Miami. The warriors are a force that we haven't really seen before. I don't think he acquired Love with the thought in his mind that he was going to assemble the best team in NBA history lol. Like Fitzy said, there was a lot of uncertainty when he went back to CLE.

I've explain this to you already, the league continuing to raise the salary cap is allowing s--- like this to happen. Super teams are forming because the league is pushing for it.

You really don't think Lebron wanted to be as dominant as the Warriors are right now? If the Warriors weren't able to get KD we're almost certainly talking about the Cavs repeating, but that would've been okay?

In retrospect getting Love could prove to be a detriment to how competitive they can be against GS going forward. They could have kept Wiggins (still on his rookie deal) and Waiters, not spend a combined 80 million on Shumpert & Smith, and had more money to balance out the entire roster.

I don't think the league is against super teams but I don't think they outwardly pushing for them. We're only a few years removed from Stern preventing another Lakers super team. I do think they should follow a similar cap structure to the NFL where max contracts have no limits and the best of the best can get paid as such, but with that you may lose the full guaranteed deals that they've had for years. Not sure the PA would be in favor of that.

As long as guys are willing to take less money, we will continue seeing an evolution of stacked rosters going forward.

To be fair, Green was suspended in game 5; and wasn't Curry injured?

UConn also lost in the final four this year.
