    Is it really interesting? If i didn't have a dog in the fight, this s--- would probably be as unwatchable as a playoff series gets. Should be an NBA TV exclusive tbh.

    They won 53 games and are #1 in the tank :srsguy:

    Their problem was becoming a treadmill playoff team too soon. In the end Isaiah probably isn't gonna be here long term, which kind of makes the last 2.5 years a waste. When Ainge traded away Rondo and Jeff Green it was to essentially become a lottery team, but then Crowder and Isaiah made them better.

    A lottery pick in the 15' draft and an extra one in the 16' draft would have put this team in a lot better spot going forward. But they chose to compete now thinking this core could get them maybe to the ECF and then they would have the picks, the cap room and the current success to attract a big name FA.

    Ppl want to look back now and say Ainge should have traded the Nets picks for a star, but to me its even more of a reason to have held on to them. The core they have now are in trouble with the 8 seed. If they traded for a star it would mean re-upping IT for near MAX money and whoever you trade for (Butler or George) you are paying the new MAX (PG after next season and Butler after 2 more), so basically you have all your cap tied into a Big 3 of IT, Horford and Butler or George and that isn't a championship team...oh and you have no other assets to get better because you more then likely shipped the role players and picks away.

    I can see both sides but ultimately lebron is going to run the EC for the next 3-5 years and the bucks have the most potential of any EC team.

    Not sold on Lebron running the East that long or even still being with the Cavs, but 2-3 years after this one for sure. I think Lebron's teams start slipping to the #3 or #4 seed in the East as Lue is gonna have to start cutting Lebron's minutes. Still don't think it matters once they get to the playoffs.

    Any comment on Marte Trent?
