    This is probably Australias worst World Cup performance since returning to the tournament in 2006.

    2006 was obviously amazing, making it to the R16 losing to Italy by a penalty.

    2010, the 4-0 Germany defeat killed us... although we did beat Serbia.

    2014 we were put in the group of death with Spain, Netherlands and Chile, despite losing all 3 games, we played our hearts out and did really well.

    Australia might not look good on paper but we've always played well together. Feel pretty empty after this result.

    Tuned in to see the France-Denmark game in the 2nd half, felt like if I was listening to a J Cole album but instead, in footballing form. Hate gentlemanly draws, the spectators rightfully booed that s---.

    Happy for Peru, the goals had to rain in at some point. Australia fought pretty hard in these 3 games, but clearly missed a stronger presence in the box, sucks Tim isn't any younger.

    Still can't understand this decision from any point of view. Who cares if he's so isolated Sane generates so much danger and gives urgency which this team hideously lacks.

    All credit to Sweden though, they had the hardest road to get here and that low block is colossal. Should be up by 3 if they had that extra quality up front, the trend I'm noticing is heavy possession teams are suffering in this tournament.

    Luka Modric is something else on the pitch. Phenomenal midfielder. Undoubtedly current best midfielder in the world. He's insane. Croatia have a great team, after today, they're capable of going far.


    Meanwhile, Argentina have been a complete mess ever since the world cup qualifications, they're only getting worse.
