The quality Croatia has is that they wilö play for their lifes, but France shouldn't have problems controlling the game.

Idk about this whole controlling the tempo thing when neither team is gonna want the ball; Croatia knows how brutal France is on the break / isolation with Mbappe on the right wing. France did struggle against Belgium's high press, the weird thing is Croatia's high press is sloppy (its international football tbf) but it's worked so far, assuming France actually plays those line-breaking passes from deep it could get ugly.

It's a head scratcher since either team has certain individual mismatches--Mbappe vs Strinic, Mandzukic likely bullying Varane-Umtiti, Perisic looking to drag Pavard wide from France's compact shape...the most interesting is the midfield battle where Matuidi has had success locking down his flank but Croatia's midfield is a different Ice-cold entity, I see that as the biggest key duel there. Just some observations of course.

I'm going to get myself a replica Croatian shirt from one of the retail shops around (probably the away one (Navy blue one)) to show my support to them, because they deserve it and because it'll be considered a classic in the coming years/future, because of the obvious fact that it's the one they made history with by reaching the world cup final and lastly, of course for my boy, Lukita, LM10, undoubtedly the best midfielder in the world and potentially the best player of the tournament.

love to se Croatia pull this over considering how the got here...and with their golden generation...4million people in the country...great underdog story...but France talent will pull it off in the end....don't think Croatia has played anyone like France yet in this tourney...Denmark, Russia, England were tough but France is on another level

Not sure about Delph and Jones but Dier and RLC is what I like to see. I hope Sarri uses RLC next season.

Belgium just too good for England rn

You guys beat City to Jorginho :banderas:

^He's one of the best midfield pivots in the world currently, give him two solid box-to-boxs and he will give you unmatched stability and possessional awareness. As a Madrid fan idk how the Hazard rumors will play out, Id love him with us but he's probably the 3rd option since Perez sees the PSG wings as the sexier option.

Yeah I need to have a little scout on him. I know next to nothing about the players from the Serie A. But hopefully he fits in pretty well seeing that he is coming along side his manager!

I selfishly hope we keep Eden, he's world class and he grew up supporting Real. I wouldnt be mad if he left, he has serviced our club very well. But I would miss the h--- out of him :ohno:

He'll come good, obviously there's the question of him adjusting to the UK's "win the 2nd ball!!!" mentality but he's exactly what you guys might have missed in a deep-lying playmaker that still offers defensive awareness. Will make Kante's life a lot easier for sure, question is what our friend @marshmallow pointed up there is who pairs with them?

Liverpool looks scary this coming season tho
