    I listened to so few albums from 2024 so I don't really have a right to judge. But 3 out of 4 albums in the semi final I did like a lot so thats good!

    I feel I’m already behind on 2025 releases due to my own music journey I’ve been on since the start of the year, but hey I played catchup for 2024 I sure as h--- can do it again this year! I had such a great time going through 64 albums from 2024, even though there was a big big range in quality imo

    I will let you guys in on something though for the 2025 bracket, if it released in 2025 and went #1, it has a guaranteed spot on the next bracket.

    Understandable. There’s so many music releases these days it’s hard to keep track of them all, some are eventually gonna fall by the wayside. I have a huge, daunting list.

    Hi everyone! This is the last time I tag you guys for this year’s bracket, I promise. I just wanted to thank you all for participating and being engaged with this, no matter how your personal album of the year performed. It was a random idea I had in class one day, and I really did not expect it to be as successful as it was! Y’all’s album suggestions for this competition helped me get to albums that I didn’t have time to hit over 2024, and even albums that would’ve flew under my radar, and I hope it did the same for y’all! While there were some things to figure out before and even during the bracket process, I’m glad you guys stuck around and were patient and continued to participate in every poll and while we built the bracket!

    The process for the second annual album bracket will begin on November 20th, which is exactly a year after this thread was created! The schedule will be exactly the same as this year as well, as I feel like it was the best way to do it. That means, the voting for the 2025 bracket will begin January 8th, 2026 (which doesn’t even sound like a real day yet).

    Once again, thank you everybody for making this 10x more successful than I ever imagined this being as I was sitting bored in my microeconomics class, and I hope the turn out is just as big if not bigger this November! Much love to my fellow S80 posters.
