    no need to apologize itt tbh. i re-learn this s--- every 4 years as well...more detail: if the electoral vote is 269 to 269, then it goes to the House of Representatives. The majority of the overall house is currently occupied by the democrats (biden), but republicans (trump) hold the majority of the state delegations... tbph, i don't know how this would play out and don't plan to research now, since a 269-269 isn't plausible at this point.

    hey man. this was answered a few times in the past couple pages, but the answer is: nobody really knows. the results are reported state by state and trickle in as fast as they're able to count them, but if the numbers are close, then tallying could take days before a true winner is announced. for example: in some states, as long as your mail-in ballot is postmarked by today, then the vote will count.
