Great speech from Biden, who is historically not that great at speaking but really rose to the occasion. He feels like the right guy for this moment, right? Trump feels so small and irrelevant right now, who gives a s--- if he doesn’t concede. In fact I hope he doesn’t, chubby old b----. What a moment I feel so good, soaking up the vibes rn. Gonna have another old fashioned luv you all (not you Jet)

Noone else would have pulled this off. He rose to moment and this feels like a well deserved finale to a long standing public service career.

top 3 with Andrew Jackson + Ronald Reagan. Right now he's probably considered the worst but in a few years he falls down to two or three.

He gets a bad rap and blamed for a depression that wasn't his fault. And even though many people are under the impression he did nothing to try and solve it, a good amount of the New Deal programs were started during the Hoover Administration.

I’d agree with you on Reagan but a lot of people LOVE Reagan. For consensus worst I’d put someone like Andrew Johnson up there. prob GWB too though history has been too kind to him recently

A lot of people LOVE Trump too, fyi. As for Johnson, he's too forgotten to be up there in the American psyche - but yes he's probably the worst (by the numbers) in the same way Clinton is the best (by the numbers).

came right after Lincoln and basically is the reason the South still identifies as confederate. He was the opposite party as Lincoln and was added to the ticket to bring unity but nobody expected him to become president.

He would refer to himself as Jesus Christ, fancy himself a dictator and was hated so much even by his own party that Congress united to stop him from doing anything important during his time in office. They even lowered the amount of supreme court justices just so that he couldn't appoint any, and raised the number right after he left office.

He was the President who was most in over his head.

I would rank Bush43 worst than him in my lifetime. Bush43 had 8 years of wrong decisions.... killed a million people in Mesopotamia who didn't need to die.

Reagan will be considered extremely bad in history as well the further we progress.

Yeah but the love for Reagan is different than for Trump...if you look at scholarly/historical polls/rankings of presidents Reagan is consistently close to the top, and these are lists with Obama and Clinton up there with him. Don’t get me wrong I think Reagan is awful and set a horrifyingly bad course for our country that we’re still trying to correct today, but he’s still quite beloved—though as res said I think (hope) that he will continue to fade away.

I could see the argument for Bush but ultimately he was far less dangerous than Reagan or Trump when it comes to lasting impact imo. Reagan launched us on the far right movement and Trump pushed us into the realm of fascism. We haven't defeated Reaganism or it's warped Trumpism yet.. There is no Bush-ism.

The Iraq war is one of the most horrifying and disgusting things we’ve ever done as a country...maybe he wasn’t as bad as Trump domestically but for the world at large the war holds a lot of weight

Fair - but I guess Reagan is somebody who there is no middle ground. Conservatives hail him as the next jesus and Liberals see him as the devil.. so he is simultaneously one of the most lauded and derided presidents OAT.
