You know I can see why atrocities happen in troubled times now. I’m so sick of Trump fanatics and their schizophrenic conspiracy s--- spammed 24/7 that I unironically want to see them in gas chambers at this point

You go to parties and say:

"Actually, I'm more fiscally conservative and socially liberal... to be honest." And "I just think the invisible hand is usually the best solution."

Then you go home... smoke cheap home grown and jerk off to barely legal p---.

You don't actually donate to the fund... if the campaign was economically viable it would fund itself.

Got into an argument on facebook about this, need some opinions:

Biden's not a neolib - he's a new deal democrat - the first one since Johnson at that.

Somehow that's a controversial take. Biden has never tried to shift the party right or towards "the center" of American politics. Instead, he's always adjusted his beliefs to be in the center of the party between the moderate and the progressive wings. His record shows this. He is far different than Obama and is gonna rebuild the working class coalition imo after a solid four years.

Somehow this is controversial in a lot of left leaning groups I'm in, who seem to think Biden is Obama v2. Maybe people just regurgitate centrist when talking about Biden because they've heard him described as such - but he's always maintained a center within the party, not a center of the political spectrum.

    enlighten me, maybe I'm wrong @Captain Awesome AKA Papa @Swizz @reservoirGod @Enigma

“Biden has never tried to shift the party right or towards "the center" of American politics. Instead, he's always adjusted his beliefs to be in the center of the party between the moderate and theprogressive wings.”

He adjusts his beliefs to the center of Washington D.C. Democratic politicians or the center of democratic voters?

Because 87% of Democratic voters support Medicare for all. Biden does not. 80% of Democratic voters want marijuana to be legal. Biden does not.

A lot of his cabinet picks have earned millions from Wall Street and big tech companies. Does this really represent the interests of the middle of the Democratic Party voters/working class coalition?

center of Democratic politicians - because he's a classic Democrat. He knows he can get much more accomplished playing both fields of democrats off each other than catering to a specific group.

and yeah, the current wave of politicans is lagging behind the voters rn in terms of things like healthcare (though, that 87% number comes from the really bad HillHarris poll).

If the political environment shifts more towards single payer HC so would Biden. He's about being effective, he's not about one specific policy or goal - he's always tried to get a lot done even if it makes things slower.

EDIT: also, in regards to legalizing marijuana - he hasn't taken a firm stance and has said he personally wanted to see more health studies - but he also put in a pro-legalization Commerce secretary, so it's clearly headed that way.
