    He def would just to spite the state of Georgia and Fani Willis. She does s--- though the trial is a shitshow and she compared rap lyrics to being the same thing as a shooter's manifesto. Like I know you know that s--- is not the same in any capacity it just makes your job easier lol

    100%. She is disgusting and pursuing this case and Thug in general has always been a transparent media op by her with the sole intention of catapulting her career. It’s been such a shitshow though that at this point it seems like it would be a shock if he actually got convicted. The person challenging her for election in November said today that if she wins her first act will be to drop the case. No idea how likely she is to win though.

    She's Republican so she'll have a hard time winning in Fulton county...and as much as I wanna see Thug free I can't imagine she'll be better for the city. She doesn't give a f--- about Thug either even if I believe she'd probably be true to her word, the GOP has just been transparently courting rappers to try to sway Black voters (not that democrats haven't done the same too, but I'm not voting for a Republican for anything to do with the justice system ever lol).

    most people don't like Trump atp, but couldn't justify it by voting for someone that visibly looked worse than him

    The Democrats will find a new boogeyman to “save democracy” from after Trump, so voting for the same party over & over again that y’all don’t agree with will be justified by that slogan.

    They could easily make themselves more electable, but they’re not interested in “saving democracy” they have 9 out of 10 of the same interests groups as each other. They’re perfectly fine with how it is.

    Yup, it works like a charm unfortunately. But to be fair, I feel like I see significantly less people falling for that con this time around, so maybe it will stop working by the next cycle. It makes electing these status quo Dem establishment drones more damaging than electing Republicans because it kicks the true progressive policy can down the road further every time they prove they can trot out a Biden and still win.

    I also think regardless of Trump as an individual, he represents a rejection of the status quo & the institutions which shows people are tired of the slop they’re being fed, even if it is leading to false consciousness.

    And he got less racist over time while the other dude embraces it. Like, no s---, it sucks having to choose between that s--- but not picking the lesser evil just gives you the bigger one. When a share of the country see a sane health care system as communism and have extra votes due the states they are in, the potential room for improvement is a bit limited. Less inspiring stuff like Medicare price negotiations still makes things slightly better when the other side actively wants to make them worse.

    Eh, things are bound to improve when the Donald cult dies out and the overtone windows isn't as far right. I don't see them having other politicians that could get free votes based on personality, so they will have to compete on policies that have soooome benefits for the average person. As long he doesn't get in power now to f--- things up for good, that is.

    If the policies they support just aren't that popular, they aren't going to get them by voting and will get pushed into irrelevance by the people who vote for stuff that actually has a chance of winning. h---, look at the other side. Hardcore christians might not consider some sex offender with 3+ wives as the ideal candidate but he still helped in their fight vs choice.bit by bit. His billionaire buddies might not appreciate all the crazy talk but it's easy to overlook after the taxcuts he gave them.
