    Seems like there’s 2 trains of thought:
    1.) ICE is/isn’t terrible
    2.) 21 should/shouldn’t be f----- with because his visa lapsed

    ...the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Even if ICE is s---, 21 is still in violation of that s--- system. LoL y’all acting like he’s above the [s---] system just because he’s famous or a rapper or because they shouldn’t f--- with him because he’s black. Srs??

    You’re not hearing me, ICE should not even exist. It should be totally dismantled. It’s a corrupt entity that prays on the vulnerable. They’ve continuously shown to lie not just to the public but in court in attempt to justify their atrocious practice. According to 21’s lawyer, he applied for a visa in 2017 & the process is still pending. ICE most definitely knew this & moved to deport him anyway. These are exactly the type of actions I’m talking about. This is why undocumented immigrants stay undocumented. Even when they try to get through this piece of s--- of an immigration process we have, it simply puts a target on their backs. So what do they do? They stay in the shadows.


    This is precisely my point, it doesn’t matter if the state you’re in is legalized or not. It’s federally, against the law. State police in California could technically arrest you & hand you over to the Feds for breaking federal law. They choose not to do that in defiance of federal law though. There’s always a choice. Bureaucrats could render ICE obsolete if they really wanted too. Or at the least, they could focus on undocumented immigrants who commit violent crimes instead of going after working class people who got a parking ticket 10 years ago or a successful black artist. I’m not going to blame 21 for the lack of common sense & action that our leaders/representatives have displayed over immigration for decades now.

    I don’t think anyone is denying that the law exists. We’re simply calling these laws into question. If every situation boils down to “well it was the law” then how do we elicit change in a broken system? Failure to take accountability to question oppressive/racist/etc laws is how you end up like nazi Germany or the USSR or any other oppressive regime.

    An illegal immigrant after their visa ran out has to expect being deported. What did 21 savage think, just because he was a hot rapper for one year that he automatically is above every other illegal who gets deported? There is zero racism in this case. Try and spread it how you want, but the bottom line is once your visa runs out, you’re an illegal immigrant. He shouldn’t get a pass just because he was a well known rapper a few years ago. That’s offending others being deported with no big name.

    They target primarily minorities/POC. They lie & trash the image of those they arrest in effort to justify deportation:



    They terrorize immigrant communities & target people who are contributing members to society.

    Really—this has nothing to do with the artist at hand and everything to do with ICE’s blatant racism. Since when were they deporting people back to 90% white majority countries? Oh wait I forgot, they’re not, 21 is just an outspoken black man from the south.
