Aug 6, 2023 to not release an album. We're used to it, and these kind of timeframes (2-3 years), and fair enough if you're touring the album and doing promo and endless music vids etc. But Em released Side B Dec 2020... we're 4 months away from Dec 2023... think in your own life, with jobs... with time, compare that. 3 years is a long time. Your whole life can change a couple times over in 3 years. And Em is 50 years old. He must really have so little left to say and so little creative juice.
Aug 6, 2023 I get that any fan wants new music from their fave, but it's not rly a long time at all — especially considering he released two albums in one year previously. more artists should take their time instead of getting caught up in fast food streaming numbers. legacy artists like Eminem and jay-z especially should never drop just to drop. a decent number of artists who dropped during the pandemic are just now dropping again or haven't dropped since. they have lives too and I'm sure they wanted to take some time to get back to feeling normal which delays new music
Aug 6, 2023 Em’s long breaks usually haven’t work out well for him. (encore, relapse, and revival) all some of his worst received albums after long 2.5 year delays I think he’s in a good space though, I don’t believe he ever stopped recording since side aB. I think he’s been recording a lot and just wanting to reset and come back fresh instead of over saturating the market
Aug 6, 2023 He needs to put out a album that he feels is good . Rather it be 3 months or 3 years. I want a solid project . I have a feeling his next run will be his last . So let’s just hope for the best
Aug 6, 2023 I really think that Em is done with ”runs”. Maybe an album from time to time but nothing more than that.
Aug 7, 2023 but there always were side projects in between. This time it only was CC2 with 3 new songs.
