Apr 11, 2017 Been saying 40 is boring and one-note for years now. Can't f--- with the Mustard shade itt either. His sound is dated now, but I'd take Mustard's work on MKL and Ty's Beach House EP over any 40 beat.
Apr 11, 2017 I mean, Boi-1da is the dude I wish Drake would just let actually predominantly produce a project for him. And just let 40 co-produce some of that s---. That dude has some amazing production. "Seduction" marks one of the few moments in his career, Post-Encore, where Em actually spits that fi-yi and doesn't sound corny as f---. 90% of that is attributed to Boi-1da being behind the boards on that one.

Apr 11, 2017 I could say the same for Metro but that doesn't mean he isn't a great producer. Timbo and pharrell were formulaic af at times too but that s--- worked. If you find it sleepy, I can't convince you otherwise, but Tuscan leather one of the greatest beats of this decade
Apr 11, 2017 Fair nuff, I guess just for me personally I'd rather listen to a baseline metro or Pharrell or timbo beat than a baseline 40 beat. See I love Tuscan Leather, but I feel like he's recreated worse versions of that beat like five times.
Apr 11, 2017 Also Metro a GOAT, most of the bad/formulaic trap beats you hear are from 808 mafia. The s--- he did on HNDRXX and Savage Mode shows his versitility, though I'm not saying he doesn't have a handful of meh beats in his catalogue.
