Apr 3, 2015 I'll just vote "against", the forum is nice, I'm a cool guy, members wouldn't need further encouragement to be active Not to mention that we'll literally be post-whores
Apr 3, 2015 I like the idea of it but feel this specific idea wouldn't work very well, people would just do their best to post in every topic they see even if they have no idea what they're talking about. It'd make lots of threads harder to read through imo.
Apr 3, 2015 you guys talk it among yourselves if against win...its not happening...this is an idea i had in mind for a while but if you think its bad i wont do it out for now
Apr 3, 2015 Also just saying 'no spamming' wouldn't really work cuz people would BS and try to act interested in threads..For example if it was a Eminem thread, people could just say something like 'Em sucks now, wish he was as good as he used to be but guess I'll still check out the new song.' Posts like that add nothing to threads and would be annoying to read through. If it was a wrestling thread people could just be like 'Is wrestling any good now? I don't watch anymore but used to love the Rock and Stone cold back in the day.' Just feel like there'd be a LOT more s---/boring posts this way and people going into topics they'd usually never go into.
Apr 3, 2015 A better idea would be to reward quality posting, maybe each month give $50 (or however much) to whoever has the best post to like ratio with a minimum of 50 posts during that time.
Apr 3, 2015 IMO This can serve as a great incentive. As long as you clearly state that the posts have to contribute to the forum in some way, I think this will serve as a great motivation tactic to increase discussion and activity
Apr 3, 2015 Theres gonna be so much spam. Im all for it though. Maybe do a likes competition as well? Quality > Quantity.
Apr 3, 2015 Wouldn't be fair to the posters that everybody hate Even if a quality post is there, it won't necessarily be liked
Apr 3, 2015 How bout spammy post result in a ban at the discretion of the mods so n----s better really be confident that their post is worthwhile before pressing reply
