May 24, 2015 I changed my vote to yes. Us current members need to get through the initial period of spam (which if it does happen, I think will only be about a month of spam with it dying out around the end of that month). I think our age demographic on this site will help counteract the spam that will pursue from a few weird old guys who need $5 or a bunch of 14 y/os who are trying to get the $5 for private webcam shows. Most of the 14 y/os won't fit into the most of the discussions, unless they are into the music genuinely or if lower-age centric threads start popping up in OT. I know it seems that some threads in OT are immature now but the actual discussion within and the humor is usually older material that I don't think most younger kids will get or even be interested by. With @Koolo 's discretion to who the winner will be each day to stave off the obvious spammers/low quality posters we could have a pretty solid system that is meant to do what it is supposed to do. Maybe not have this go for a whole year but maybe 6-8 months (depending on situation). Maybe even just for the summer and stop it once people go back to school. Edit: Also going to have to promote this $5 thing almost as strong as Subway did when they first came out with their $5 footlong. I'm saying we need to sample the Subway $5 footlong theme song and make it into a S80 rap/theme song. This will market both our new $5 payouts and our own member's talents.
May 25, 2015 Don't think i'd get it ever because i'm not active enough, but think it's worth implementing. It's not a huge incentive for people to drop their life and start posting "s---" purely to earn the $5 imo. It's incentive enough to encourage posting more though. Would be pretty cool to go to the pub one day and buy a beer knowing it was paid for by SXN80
May 25, 2015 This would fit perfect into the "thing" we have discussed but for standard forum stuff it would promote spam! However, if you would cast an end of day vote on top 3 members who benefitted the site more in the day from their posts.. That might work.
