Nov 15, 2017 Sure. So by lyricism - I mean phrasing and structuring. Wording. Purely from a writer standpoint, the attention to detail, originality and intelligence of Eminem's wording vs. 50 Cent's wording is much better. In my opinion. To go a little deeper on that - pick any theme, let's say parenting - Eminem can write about a theme in a much more intelligent way. More intelligent in the sense of being able to describe his feelings and thoughts, and thoughts of others and analyse and articulate things very clearly and also very cleverly. Putting words & phrases together that get at certain points but also in an artful way. 50 Cent does not and has never done the above anywhere near as well. With regards to rhyming... I think that's pretty self-explanatory. I mean Eminem rhymes better. He rhymes more things, more often and again in a more structured way. 50 Cent often rhymes very easy rhymes, often not multi rhymes and also often inconsistently - as in there is a poor attention to detail of when one rhyme vs another happens e.g. he'll rhyme 1 syllable or word HERE, then nothing here and here, then another 1 syllable here and 2 here and often not connected or tightly written. Compared to Eminem rhyming 3 syllables HERE, then another 3 HERE, then another HERE, all in a row, all connecting, then there often being wordplay and little internal rhymes or assonance going on. Beyond just pure rhyming - the level of writing ability is not even comparable. Also as somebody who has written a lot - like, as a side profession and just growing up and writing lots of content in many walks of life, just writing - a lot, lot... and thinking about writing and needing to rephrase and write thousands of words over and over... Eminem is extremely impressive in almost every category of writer - leaving rap aside for the moment - just as a writer. His skills in terms of descriptive writing, storytelling, wording, allusions to certain things, subtely, connecting themes... he's an extremely good writer. 50 has written some good raps, but he's not an impressive writer. There's barely anything noteworthy about the way he writes, or his level of writing. Him and Eminem are world's apart.
