Jun 12, 2016 It's a double edged sword but we would still face the issue of people with an agenda to k--- and will go out their way to accomplish it
Jun 12, 2016 actually guys i need to sleep, lets continue gun control talk during the next mass shooting...wont be long most likely
Jun 12, 2016 Because people will lose the right to protect themselves and their families in an extreme situation
Jun 12, 2016 lol forth world? What scale are you using? I'm calling those nations "third world" based on the label they were given during the cold war
Jun 12, 2016 like serious question, do people in the US regularly get people invading their house wanting to s---t them?
Jun 12, 2016 I can't get over how weak this is "It's also naive to think that someone who buys it for protection doesn't develop mental problems later or, short of that, get drunk and s---t his wife or some dude he argues with at a bar." ANYONE can develop mental problems, get drunk and s---t someone, this isnt exclusive to gun owners whatsoever. There are so many responsible gun owners that do any of that.
Jun 12, 2016 The issue with getting people to "give up" their guns is: They own the guns for protection against, not only domestic, but foreign powers. The foreign powers part gets overlooked a lot. Yes it's modern times and we shouldn't be in fear of outside attacks but that's part of why America is America. We did revolt after all. Armed citizens are the reason America exists in the first place. I don't believe a government takeover will occur but many do.. and these people don't have the same intentions as a school shooter. They intend to protect their stuff and land. Take away their guns because someone else with a gun shoots people? That only pushes them farther down the rabbit hole. I think it's really just an American thing... because of our history and where we came from. The gun means you have the right to decide what's best for you, not someone else. I believe that's part of why it's not gonna happen... the country will revolt before the guns are taken. Civil War s---.
Jun 12, 2016 guys this is seriously not hard.... X lives in a country where guns are banned, black market sell guns...10 guns are in this state Y lives in a country where guns are not banned, 10k guns in this state X have fewer shootings than Y due to simple math
Jun 12, 2016 I mean, if we are going to judge it based on the economic aspect, can Saudi Arabia even be considered third world? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)_per_capita That PIB per capita looks pretty high to me
Jun 12, 2016 i do agree with @Final that this is not an easy thing, to get people to give up their guns...and yea it will cause riots but has to be done for long term
Jun 12, 2016 yeah but say Canada invade you, citizen like your self will need guns to protect your house? n----- the military got it handled...seriously lay off the drugs
