didn't this guy have a bomb strapped to his chest as well? he still could've killed as many people without an assault rifle.

Yeah it's also possible for someone to be in possession of a bomb and not k--- people with it, but I think most people would like if they didn't have easy access to it. I mean, if the only reason to have guns like these is so people can be white trash that's kind of a weird reason.

I haven't read anything about a bomb being strapped to him. And yeah, it's possible for him to have killed this many people without an assault rifle but the assault rifle made it THAT much easier. Had he only had a pistol, I don't think the casualties would be nearly this high.

I meant he could've killed as many people with a bomb as a assault rifle. There were reports going around the time this happened that he a bomb strapped to his chest, i guess that turned out to be was false.

australia has had strict gun laws where there is a certain process to obtaining a gun that takes a few weeks and clears you fit and safe to possess a gun, that has been in place since like 1998 or some s--- and we've had no mass shootings since, before that there was around 1 every year.

can any american here disagree and say that statement is unreasonable?

While it's easy to agree, you're talking about two very different countries. One has 23 million the other 320 million. One has no borders, the other has 2, including one shady a--- border. I don't see how it would ever be possible to totally ban guns in the US.

It comes down to accessibility though. You can't walk down the street and purchase a bomb at some store. You can do that with an AR-15. In fact, Florida doesn't even have a mandatory waiting period when purchasing an AR-15. They give it to you on the spot. I mean it's no coincidence that the AR-15 has been used in several high-profile mass shootings in the past couple years.

i feel like all these shootings, this gay club, the retirement community, sandy hook, the batman premiere, all that s--- almost are all propaganda for gun control so the gays, elderly, and parents get involved boycotting guns until theres an entire bandwagon, and then the public doesnt have access to weapons to fight the government when martial law comes into play, which will indeed eventually happen.
call me crazy, the cia might k--- me, i might just be mel gibson.

i wouldnt call it banning guns, people in australia can still use guns, we just need to join a gun club and have background checks n s---

people need to stop making excuses aswell, like one of the biggest reasons the latest shooting happened was because a guy was able to get hold of a huge gun relatively easily, even with a shady background.

i dont think banning would help, like the prohibition, but making it harder to obtain the guns in the first place is an elementary first step to solving americas gun problem

I know a few ppl out in the country that use em to protect their cattle/property/even family from wolves/hogs. Theyre ambidextreous, so theyre a cheaper alternative for lefties. And are more manageable for weaker ppl (ie. Smaller ladies, elderly, etc.) as well.

i think most of yous would have a different opinion if your kid got shot dead because some nutter was able to walk up to a counter with cash and buy any gun of his choice

:jordan: I'm down for stronger laws, but outlawing them fully (like some people would like) seems kind of extreme.

Kind of the same response as my Worm one :jordan:

I'd want him and his entire family dead, but I wouldn't blame the gun/ability to get said gun. That same nutter could k--- my son with a bow and arrow if he tried hard enough.

The fact here is that if somebody wants to f--- s--- up, they'll f--- s--- up. Parents just need to raise their kids well enough so that they don't have the urge to f--- s--- up.
