Jun 15, 2016 True. I think a big reason we don't want the gov to ban/regulate more things is because it seems like that's all they do. It'd be nice if they negotiated with people a little bit like "Here you go, guys. Marijuana is legal now, but it's harder for you to get automatic rifles." They're constantly creating more and more and more regulations that are more of a hassle on the general public than anything...we'd probably like our legislaters more if they actually gave us things every now and then
Jun 15, 2016 stems down to being easily availible again if more background checks were ran, and the process took a few weeks to be completed, the whole watchlist would have been found and his gun application would have been denied not asking for banning guns, just stopping the mental cases from getting them
Jun 15, 2016 I could see this being abused. "Are you a Libertarian white male? Sorry, we don't want you to create a milita so no gun for you"
Jun 15, 2016 it wouldnt be a corrupt application tho like an official thing, race shouldnt come into it at all
Jun 15, 2016 And people should be able to freely do that, idgaf,...as long as they're not shooting up schools.
Jun 15, 2016 To be fair, we have a lot of people here that think "tougher gun laws" = "TAKE ALL THE GUNS AWAY FROM EVERYBODY" lmao
Jun 15, 2016 Muslims have to be judged individually, yet every gun owner must be punished as a group.
Jun 15, 2016 i agree with most of this, but using the Boston Marathon bombings is a poor example of what these pressure cooker bombs can do, look up the 2006 Mumbai train bombings, 209 people were killed and over 700 were injured, pressure cooker bombs were specially used to increase the afterburn in a thermobaric reaction, more powerful than conventional high explosives.
