    Yeah but after TES the drugs began affecting his art, stifling his creativity, shutting off his brain and making him so lazy he preferred watching TV to making new tracks. He said that while listening to Encore, he can hear how high he was in the music.

    Dude, you can't make a decent argument. I actually like some cole songs but there's no way in h--- he could make songs like DejaVu, Beautiful, GTC, Legacy, Badguy, Guts over fear or even deliver a verse like Medicine man, it goes on and on. He's just not in that league and he'sv far from reaching it
    Modern Em towers over current J. Cole in every single aspect

    Listen to FNL, TWU, and even FHD. They're all better than Em's last few albums like Shady XV, MMLP2, Recovery, and Relapse.

    Bro, I've known Cole for years, I've been listening to losing my balance and problems way before most of the guys here, I know my s---. And no nothing comes close to the songs I mentioned

    Congrats, but that's a s-----y opinion if you really think nothing Cole has made "comes close" to a song like Medicine Man..... I can understand if you think it's better cuz Em fans are always like that and you'll never win an argument with one, but to say they don't even come close is just wrong.

    Bro, I was talking about his Medicine man verse not the song. Also you ignored the other songs that I mentioned ( not verses), No, I'm actually telling you why it's way better. I could go on and write an essay about cadences, storytelling, introspection. Again, I deeply believe that what J. Cole has done doesnt come close (yet) to the stuff that I mentioned. No hard feelings though because I don't dislike Cole at all, I like a decent amount of his stuff, I'd rather argue against another artist

    Yeah I know you were talking about the verse... I can read. Honestly, I've listened to the other songs probably once in the past year, if that, so I don't have much to say. But go ahead, tell me why it's way better. Because choppy flow and lines like "I even make the b------s I r--- c-m" aren't much of a defense.

    It's a widely agreed upon opinion that Eminem's music has been awful these last few years. Why Cole has to be brought into the discussion is beyond me, but regardless, it's not gonna help an Eminem argument any more.

    He's brought into the discussion because it sets things into perspective. Calling Em's music bad and at the same time praising Cole is absolutely ridiculous to me.

    Couple things. He doesnt have "one" flow. If you actually pay attention to his latest solo album (MMLP2) he uses a different flow in almost every single song and it's not "the choppy flow". There's layers and layers behind his music, th way he's able to paint pictures with his stories, the way he uses his vocal projection to trigger certain emotions etc.

    No, it's not widely agreed that hes awful, leave your forum bubble
