    Let me amend that: Bun mastered flows and cadences really young. He might be the better rapper in a very limited sense, but I think p---- is a far, far more engaging writer, and that offsets it for me.

    Nah, p----'s better when you consider his singing and production, but Bun B's much better with rhyming, flow and delivery imo

    It's ok as a Travis fan I understand the pain of liking a flawed mess everyone hates that took way too long to come out.

    if this was like a 13 track album that focused on cuts like Controlla, One Dance, Too Good etc d like it a lot more.

    read this earlier, pretty cool.
    i have similar views about the album. drake getting stagnant. if IYRTITL didnt drop drake could've had a really tight pop rap album on his hands.

    Taking rap lines out of context is usually a terrible way to evaluate rap songs or albums. But Drake is so awful at writing lines that they wholly derail songs, at least to me. So the "I group DM my exes" bit doesn't just strike me as a bad line; it absolutely sinks the song's chances of working.

    So I appreciate you complimenting me at the end there and I'm not expecting you to agree with my take on the album, but the way I went about this is not as reductive as you're making it out to be, and not as reductive as it would be in most other contexts.

    I mean, this certainly isn't meant to be a serious or definitive critical reading--but it is a review of the album. If there were any positives that allowed me to look past the horseshit I highlighted, I would have noted them. I think that's implied. Like, I don't think there are any elements that "make this project good."
