    Right... I for sure get that. That's a problem with some of the eminem lines on his recent stuff. He shouts em and just highlights how bad/average they are.

    I think it's a little disingenuous to give young thug a pass for this alone tho.... But I guess that's your perspective as you said. Also, the thing about thug is a lot of the lines don't really make much sense in context. Not sure eating ice cream with your chicken would fit into context in any hip-hop song ever tho lol

    Haha on the surface it sure as h--- doesn't make any sense but I think thats the allure of Thug, I don't think it's about literally connecting the dots but it's to expect something spontaneous and almost nonsensical with a small dosage of stunning reality every now and then. Ultimately I'm no professional critic so I can't exactly express it any better but I thinks it's good to look at hip-hop in the least narrow way as possible.

    The context thing is negated imo by the fact that thug's lyrics are free form dissociative (I probably butchered that spelling) meaning the lyrics aren't really topical, they flow from one idea to the next. But I'm in agreement that Thugger specializes in goofy hashtag quotables as much as Drake and that @Narsh and @WPG criticizing him for that, and even focusing on that to the level that this review did, is silly and more to be taken as humorous slander than legitimate criticism.

    That would imply you hold thug at a different standard I feel. I get you tho... your job isn't to be an objective critic. I guess the question is for people who are trying to achieve that.
