Jan 24, 2016 Of course musically there is a distance because the fact is Dr Dre is and always has been cool for hip-heads to listen to his core fan base is black males from the hood not just in America but globally Eminem isn't cool amongst hip-hop heads and his core fan base is teenage girls from the suburbs globally. Of course he has a big male fan base too but his core fan base is teenage girls When they do collab and make classic songs like Die Hard where we get 1 of the best hooks ever, a great beat and great verses written for Dr Dre and classic songs like I Need A Doctor. Eminem's pop/teenage fan base will embrace the songs but Dr Dre's hip-head urban fan base will hate the song just based on Eminem being on it. Nore summed it up in an interview with Vlad Eminem is way, way, way too popular and mega huge as an artist, as a brand as a pop icon for hip-hop heads to like As friends they are cool i am sure very close to this day but these are the reasons they distanced them self musically
Jan 25, 2016 Classic Arch Dogg opinions... Eminem's verse being the "ONLY good verse on the album" is my favourite part. Wow.
Jan 25, 2016 In my opinion it was. Dre spit nothing memorable on here, we all know how I feel about Kendrick, and Anderson Paak was moaning and squealing all over the entire album. All the other features I was looking forward to (Snoop, Game, Xzibit, etc) were very disappointing. Em's verse was fire. It sounds out of place on such a subpar album.
Jan 25, 2016 lol Compton was a decent project. Nothing revolutionary but enjoyable. Eminem's verse was awkwardly out of place. It surely wasn't better than the Xzibit, Kendrick features nor most of Dre's verses.
Jan 25, 2016 I do agree with @Arch Dogg on most things we have our difference of opinion on Stronger Than I Was but even then we both agree the hook and the final verse are classic But i don't agree with his views about Medicine Man that verse from Eminem was terrible and it sounded out of place on the album. It is no where near the best song on the album it is 1 of the worst songs
Jan 25, 2016 Though i will say even though me and Arch Dogg both drawn to and love emotional Eminem music he does seem more open to non emotional Eminem music or verses than me For me it pretty much has to be an emotional song or verse from him and he has to be singing on the hook or a bridge. That is why he my fave artist for these 2 reasons mainly his emotion and his singing
Jan 26, 2016 I think it's Dre who fell off. I mean how many albums was it that he scrapped until we finally got Compton. Also we're focusing on the fact the Eminem had barely any influence on the album but we also forget he must've scraped everything he did with Kendrick too. Does that mean there's a rift there or Kendrick fell of? No. I just think Dre wanted to go with a more LA and Compton feel on the album and a lot of Eminem features wouldn't have fit the theme. I think the fact that medicine man seems out of place and doesn't fit the theme of the album kind of validates the thought process. But in the end I think it's Dre who fell off, he had so many great artists over the years writing for the album and we got Compton. Something that didn't have a signature sound and really felt rushed to the market to capitalise on the NWA movie release.
Jan 26, 2016 Dre Day Let Me Ride Nuthin But A G Thang Deez Nuts Lil Ghetto Boy Stranded On Death Row The Watcher f--- You Still DRE What's The Difference Forgot About Dre The Next Episode
Jan 27, 2016 Darkside / Gone is better than all of those combined. Dre's best verse combined with arguably his best beat? Nothing can touch D/G.
Jan 28, 2016 Compton was great, and Dre putting Eminem right in the end kind of emphasizes that only Eminem can finish the album on a strong note. He didn't put anyone but Eminem right in the end, to conclude the album with emotions. That is, of course, without Dre's last track.
Jan 28, 2016 We really acting like Compton isn't 9/10? Cmon now Dark side gone is the best song of 2k15 Many of our favorite legends have dope verses over amazing production and we got new artists who built themselves a nice platform to start their careers. Oh ya and k dot
Jan 28, 2016 I don't get why people dislike it. I thought it was great. What did you guys expect, a 2001 II?
Jan 28, 2016 Right? It was adaptive and solid-great in literally every critical aspect. Lyrics flows beats features.. All great
Jan 28, 2016 I feel like some of it could've been better, like "For The Love Of Money" and "Satisfiction" were filler, and Dre should've produced more, but you CANT tell me Darkside/Gone, Deep Water, It's All On Me, Animals and Talking To My Diary weren't great, great songs. He put his heart and soul into it. And Genocide sounds exactly like how a modern Dre beat should sound.
