There’s a demand for ganagbangers to s---t the ops so there’s always going to be gun suppliers. Regardless if neighboring states have more relaxed gun laws or not. That’s not a good enough excuse for THOUSANDS of deaths per year from g--- shootings also hitting innocent bystanders and children. There’s higher up g--- leaders, affiliates in chiraq that have cartel connections so there are always going to be guns flowing through the city. These shootings s--- but it’s just the world we live in these days.
May 19, 2018 @Enigma Without copy and pasting your post. Regarding straw purchases you are in correct. I know this for a fact for two reasons. First is I just bought a shotgun for my buddy for his wedding gift as I’m in the wedding party and had to research it. I know he is a law abiding citizen but I still need to sell it to him for a dollar and have an FFL process the deal. Second, on form 4473 question 11) a. It literally asks you if your are the actual transferee/buyer of the firearm? If you are not, the FFL cannot sell you the firearm. If I knew I was giving it to my buddy before hand and answered yes, I would be fraudulently filling out the form which would be a felony. Corrections from my previous post: you are correct, there was 11,961 homicides, however only 248 of which were committed with a rifle (I previously stated 10,000 deaths and 400 rifle related deaths) Also, I previously stated 50,000 to 250,000 firearm self defense uses but Obama’s CDC 2013 findings stated it is 500,000 to 3 million self defense uses per year. Deaths prevented is not quantifiable though, but guns successfully used in defense of the law-abiding is significant. Societies in general, only function when the law-abiding outnumber the law-breakers. If you dis-empower the law-abiding, by definition you empower the law-breakers that then increases crime by making it easier and incentivizing it.

May 19, 2018 People conceal carry (like myself) because you never know when one of those specific situations may ever arise. I hope to god I am never in one of those situations again, but if I am, at least carrying a gun may give me a chance between life and death.
