Nov 12, 2017 I don't like it with drums to be honest, i don't know, "Walk On Water" works as a intro of the album and a transition to the next song (which will have drums ofc). We could say that this intro works as a crescendo to the climax which is the next song, i don't know if you can understand me xD
Nov 12, 2017 Disagree with this big time. This makes the song like 50 times worse to me and 'just another song', or 'just another Em song'. It no longer feels authentic or different. The lack of drums allows for space between his pause and between the piano to let his words set in... by having the constant drum there, it feels like you're just supposed to vibe along, like, it doesn't feel correct with the intent or gravity of his words with this one. It sounds generic. Way better as it is.
