    It's amazing how much Eminem's confidence has improved since 2010. He sounds a lot more natural on this album, especially in I Will. Still a far cry from his MMLP & Devil's Night days but he's been on a slow but steady upward trend on this trait for years now. He may have a limited ceiling considering his age in relation to being a rapper, especially a white rapper, but imagine if he eventually regained this level of confidence:





    Obviously his voice has changed with age so he could never sound exactly like he did in those days. Just talking about the confidence and hunger he came up on. Or did the fire inside him actually die and expire at 30?

    Yeah it’s definitely less iconic but to me that album embodies everything about Eminem at his best. Everything sounded natural, he’s funny, and it’s a good mix of serious songs like rock bottom and zany cartoonish narratives like as the world turns (and mixes of both like brain damage). MMLP gets more serious but not in a bad way. And TES to me ends up feeling more melodramatic than the first two and has a handful of straight clunkers/filler that bog it down for me. I mean it still has some of his best songs ever (say goodbye to hollywood) but that’s what I mean when I say it’s aged the worst for me. I can listen to the LPs straight thru but TES has some skips

    PS drips isn’t a skip for me

    I’d say it’s less iconic than mmlp or tes but it’s easily his most effortless and musical. Listening to it u 100% know why he was inserted into “generational zeitgeist” convos

    Encore is better then Murdered tho. Which isn't saying its bad. Encore is a classic.
