Rappity rap tracks are one thing. But the problem w Leaving Heaven and his (ongoing) return to his drug addiction subject matter is he keeps the same “look at me” flow and speed. He’s talking about his dads death but makes the song sound like he’s in Rap God mode. I don’t like it.

Yea, like, this is cool and everything, but does it really make this music any better? Like, this is very clearly something he does just to show he can do it, and it’s impressive, but it virtually adds nothing. Another example of how I think Eminem has developed into an And 1 street baller of the rap game where he can do all these little tricks that appear sick, but it’s simply unnecessary to the final product. The intro is great though, so don’t think I’m taking away from that either, and in this case it worked, I just don’t think the song is any better because of something like this, it was already cool for what is was.
