    For me, him saying in a simple flow “never driven a truck, give me the keys I’m drunk”, or Rock Bottom song, or some hooks on that album and his voice/accent are just things that he won’t ever recreate.

    I’d say it’s less iconic than mmlp or tes but it’s easily his most effortless and musical. Listening to it u 100% know why he was inserted into “generational zeitgeist” convos

    Revisiting Relapse right now and I think I think it better than pretty much every album his released since besides Recovery. Sounds so nice to hear him in a normal voice (accent aside) and him flexing smoothly.

    I got it from the guy I know (same guy I heard some snips from the album from) but I swear I also saw some media site post an article about it

    Yeah it’s definitely less iconic but to me that album embodies everything about Eminem at his best. Everything sounded natural, he’s funny, and it’s a good mix of serious songs like rock bottom and zany cartoonish narratives like as the world turns (and mixes of both like brain damage). MMLP gets more serious but not in a bad way. And TES to me ends up feeling more melodramatic than the first two and has a handful of straight clunkers/filler that bog it down for me. I mean it still has some of his best songs ever (say goodbye to hollywood) but that’s what I mean when I say it’s aged the worst for me. I can listen to the LPs straight thru but TES has some skips

    PS drips isn’t a skip for me

    Not a skip for me either. This is a hot take, but it's over-hated. His voice alone is still in fresh Post-Devil's Night Mode. So the s--- still had tonal remnants and elements of Prime Execuction Eminem, if you ask me. [​IMG]
