    So just listened again and like I thought, there were a few songs I was tempted to skip.

    In all honesty, the one song that I experienced (I was too young when his classics dropped) that really blew me away ar first was Chloraseptic rmx. He worked w 2 chainz and finally we got that 'I dont give a f---, f--- all of you' attitude again. On Revival he was mostly complaining about how people reacted to his music.

    Ofc Kamikaze was a great surprise (and good album) and Ringer was a killer opening, but the album was basically an extended version of the Chloraseptic remix.

    And like it or not, but MTBMB basically IS Revival part 2. Not quality wise (imo) but just like Revival he tried to appeal different type of audiences; - his core/older fanbase w songs like stepdad, I will, premonition, - younger audience by having trap beats and younger guests rappers, recovery/pop fans by having pop singers, general audience w darkness and rap heads by including some old school legends. So basically, just like Revival even if it was more pop orientated.

    So basically, this album is a f---ing mess. But the major difference to me is that the songs, almost all, are better than 90% off Revival. I don't like all of them, but most of them are at least interesting to me. So yeah, for me thats a win lol.

    So in the end I was right lmao. Give it a week and people praising it will say it’s mediocre.

    I still think it deserves praise because it has some great stuff. But the Revival comparison (as far as the concept/idea) is kinda spot on even if this is far better. I forgot the best 'comparison'; untouchable - darkness.

    The last two Eminem albums you couldnt really play in public ... Girls are playing this album, it's more modern and better hooks. It's gonna hold up well.

    Come on this happens w nearly every release by everyone lol. Its just that it sticks out more w eminem fans because there are so many and they're more vocal.

    The idea of new music from one of ur favorite artist always causes hype which makes u excited. When the dust settles and the songs have sunk in u can be more objective about how u feel about it.

    Yeah, in a week people will hate it. It’s always the same story with a lot of these people. That’s why I withhold the excitement of the new release and rated it realistically.

    Why tho? I think people hated revival from day one.
    Man I dunno why yall doing this, its ok to not like the album or like half of it and whatever
    but there are a lot of people like me who liked it as a whole and if anything after a week it will settle even better.
    And it might be like revival 2 on paper but its way more well executed than that. Soundwise is not even close to revival

    It's not about liking an album or not liking it. It's about people exaggerating its quality and then probably some of them trashing it a week later. People were overhyping Recovery, MMLP2 and Revival to just go 180 in a week and call it trash. I stated it's mediocre from a day one and it will be mediocre for me going forward. It's just funny seeing people praising the album, when you know what will happen in a week or so. Some of you people never learn. That's all.

    And to add, even though many didn't admit, they just hated Revival because of the sound except the hate bandwagon they jumped in.

    Well besides revival, (mostly) recovery and mmlp2 are now considered to be good or above.
    Meanwhile there are examples of the opposite when an album clicks after several plays.
    That doesnt say anything about the quality of an album. Yeah people tend to overreact when it comes to em we agree on that but I judge for myself and for me there's enough in this album to form my opinion already. Every album after an x amount of time is not the same as it was when it first released, this goes with anything tbh after you play the s--- out of it.

    yoooo just realized something cool...in Darkness video when reporter talk about shooter and says "this is what he looks like", Em instead show the entire audience as if they are the one that should be remembered...thats pretty cool
