Revival is good, it becomes complicated when trying to rate it against other Eminem Albums. I listen to these tracks from it quite a bit:
    Believe
    Chloraseptic
    Need Me
    Framed
    Offended
    In Your Head

As Eminem fans we forced ourselves to like MMLP2. There was nothing on there I wanted to revisit apart from maybe Brainless or Rap God (which got boring really quickly) after the first listen

MMLP2 had non existent replay value and badly executed songs that should have been great (Bad Guy, Headlights, Legacy, The Monster, Love Game).. I could NEVER understand why critics rated it high, maybe because of Rubin? Its honestly worse than Revival

This album is different. Beats slap, improved hooks, nice features and Em does his thing. He will never be what he was but the complexity of his lyrics are insane these days. It's an album I thought he was never capable of after the dark days of MMLP2 and Revival

    The question is

    When the pain leaves

    Where does the pain go?

There's moments of old Em scattered all over this project, and double, triple entrendres everywhere. This MFa has literally mastered rap

I’m only two listens in so I’ll need to spend a little more time with it. But I’m pretty sure I like it more than the last two

Kanye West fans are not worse than Eminem stans. Atleast they are more open minded than Eminem stans when it comes to music.

This however is a d-ck move.

I could see Farewell being used on a Call of Duty or Halo Trailer here in 2020

This picture doesn’t really tell me he’s severed ways with Interscope. You may be right about him fulfilling his obligations, but it’s also likely he has a greater/higher level of ownership now. Considering the staple he’s been at Interscope and the relationships he’s formed, it really wouldn’t shock me if he has more influence there than ever.

Unfortunately the fast part to Godzilla is necessary. It is the reason (other than Juice) why the song is in so much rotation. The word-to-mouth of him beating the Rap God speed is going to cater to an enormous group of people - likely of the same demographic as the ones who ate Rap God up. They knew what they were doing.

It looks like they’re getting a cut by being the distributor from that wording, but Eminem owns the actual music and is probably in total control of the project with Dre.

I can totally see that. To me “under exclusive license to Interscope Records” is where it gets tricky. I 100% concur and believe that he is in total control of the project.

If I had to make a guess off reading between the lines, Maybe Em owns a much larger cut of his publishing, or owns his Master recordings entirely and owns a bigger cut of the publishing. Interscope no question is distributing, but they likely still own some degree of the publishing. I wouldn’t give it up fully if I were them either. We’ll probably never get a straight answer, but it seems like Eminem to want to own his master recordings and have total autonomy over the entire process of making it.
