MTBMB continues to age like wine. I'd rate it just as much as TES if it wasn't for 3 songs:

Premonition: 10
Unaccomodating: 8
You Gonn' Learn: 10 (Best BME track ever)
TKN: 4
In Too Deep: 9 (Beat and hook are so freaking good that they actually make this song hella enjoyable)
Godzilla: 9
Darkness: 10
Leaving Heaven: 10 (The only good Skylar x Em track and boi they made a 10/10 straight away)
Yah Yah: 9.5 (Totally loving the beat now)
Stepdad: 9.5 (Trash hook, storytelling, flow and beat 10/10 though)
Marsh: 6.5 (Third verse is cornnnnnn)
Never Love Again: 9.5 (Songwriting is insane, flow is some TES- Encore-tier stuff, FIRE BEAT SWITCH)
Little Engine: 8 (Fun. That's it)
Lock It Up: 10 (Even without a very strong subject matter, still a 10 because of wordplay, production, flow and PAAK)
Farewell: 6 (Eh)
No Regrets: 10 (2nd verse fantastic, fantastic production and Don KILLED IT)
I Will: 10 (DId Eminem travel back to 2002? If yes, stay there)

Overall: 8.7/10

I almost wish 'Infinite' in particular could be ranked higher tbh. Because ranking it second to last makes it seem like ''it's s---'', but it's actually a great album. It's just the production is bad, or the mixing... overall sound... is muddy,

But the songs are f---ing fantastic. And it's consistent asf. I know Em himself says 'he wasn't really saying much' on it but look at 'Never 2 Far', 'It's OK', some really brilliant writing. And the old cliche of 'just sounds like AZ or Nas' on it is played, even by Em. The influence is there for sure, but neither AZ or Nas are or have ever rapped like 'Tonite' or '313' - his lyrics and style were still unique to him even then.

Why is it trash and corny?

It's storytelling.

We don't say that about movies. When people comment on Eminem or any musician/(mostly)rappers like 'oh that's corny' because they view them as expressing themselves truthfully through the art...

But make no mistake - he is a storyteller. I mean - 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Stan, Lose Yourself... come on. This is a writer. A storyteller.

So why is it corny due to the topic lmao. If you saw a movie about that I doubt you would say it was corny. I think it's because you're looking at is as 'from Eminem' and you have a perception about him as a person.

It's good.... great (even) storytelling.
