Feb 1, 2020 Reason im rethinking listening is cuz everywhrtr i look ppl say its s---. Even on reddit which is rare
Feb 1, 2020 I’ve only heard once but my first reaction is it’s not as good as C5. There’s some good songs like Mahogany and Wayne's World and the one with Takeoff on it but it’s just way too long. It’s enjoyable but nothing spectacular...the only song I listened to and thought “wow this is f---ing horrible” is the one with xxxtentacion. Feels like he's on autopilot for part of it.
Feb 1, 2020 Wow I'm surprised to see people saying this is better than C5 in this thread. I'm def gonna give it another spin but there weren't all that many standouts on my first listen like there were with C5.
Feb 1, 2020 Yea for the most part I just thought, “ok, this is a cool song.” But nothing I really want to listen to again for the most part. At least C5 had a few songs that I still listen to, most notably Let It All Work Out.
Feb 1, 2020 Just listened to this for the first time and I kinda fall into the middle of the two extremes itt. It’s definitely too f---ing long and doesn’t have as many standouts as C5, but Wayne sounds energised by the Cash Money split and the tonal shift is really interesting, I feel like he could make something great if he puts a tighter project together using this style.
Feb 1, 2020 Only given it one spin and I kinda got bored half way through and tuned out. Standout to me was Mahogany but I literally don't remember the last 3/4s of the album.
Feb 1, 2020 @Big Cuntry you put me onto album dabs get a couple months ago but I think it’s down now. Haven’t had an album I wanted to download in a while that I didn’t just buy. What’s the word on a new site like that? These things are getting shut down left and right these days
Feb 1, 2020 As much of a Wayne fan that i am. I feel like this album is really uninspired. I don’t think Wayne fell off. He’s still got it. But he needs to work with people that are going to make him push him.
Feb 1, 2020 Feels like it picks up right where C5 finished. Like almost every veteran rapper around these days, Wayne doesn't have that same spark that elevated him to such heights back in his heyday but his latest music is so much more focused and hungry than some of the very mid stuff he put out 2010-2015. I mean its not Drought 3 and its definitely too long, but if you're a Weezy fan there's a lot to take away from this imo
