Dec 25, 2020 I mean I pretty much expected this to happen with a person their early 20s dating someone in their early 30s, you’re just not mature like that when you’re that young. But he chose to release the album on Christmas and have the release party which causes him to miss the very first Christmas with his son...and was cheating on his baby mama the whole time. Obviously I’d wanna celebrate too if I had an album drop but dudes showing where his priorities are.
Dec 25, 2020 Uzi is def better than his 2015 self now and Carti probably is too, but let's not s--- on their 2015 output, just because the cool thing to do is claim every popular artist's original output was their best. No one ever mentions "The Real Uzi". Wanna know why? It wasn't that good. He was rapping his heart out on most of it, from a technical standpoint, in comparison to the lyrical content that has become his motif at this point in his career. You can't tell me "Robber: by Carti is trash. "Beef" and "Broke Boi" immortalized Carti's legacy before most of us really even knew who he was. Stop playin'. I love the f--- out of Rage-Punk Carti, but Awful Records Carti is where it all began. "Talk (ICYTWAT Remix)" still has me wishing Carti would at least work with that kid, if none of his older in-house producers from Awful Records.
