Aug 8, 2016 Many people would agree that All Eyez On me is filled with a lot of unnecessary tracks so I don't even know how it could be a 8/10 album When the album was first released, it got nothing but 6 & 7/10 from reviews. Pac's death is the only reason the album is even being discussed as a classic.

Aug 8, 2016 I don't think anyone would argue that AEOM has some filler, but it also has a handful of some of the most iconic rap songs ever recorded. It's highs more than outweigh the unnecessary songs

Aug 8, 2016 Ugh it's basically only Jet and 1 other guy so far and it's the usual 'AEOM has filler' talk or 'Pac's overrated', nothing new. Any album with almost 30 songs is gonna have songs people skip over, don't know what they expect. On topic though if you're talking about general consensus I don't think there's any albums that were considered classic for a long time that aren't considered at least 'good' today. I personally think a lot less of eminem's 'classic' albums than I used to, but that's just me. Him saying stuff just to try to offend you and those kinda ideas just seem childish and played out when I go back and listen now, but I still like some of the great songs he has on there.
Aug 8, 2016 classic was a term where when something was good a long time ago, is considered classic. now classic just means 10/10, and you cant call something a classic 2 minutes after it releases. EDIT: unless if you're joking
Aug 8, 2016 The two likely scenarios in which I could imagine this happening are (1) an artist released more albums that kind of demoted their earlier work or (2) fell off so hard that people reevaluated their career. I can't think of any great examples. Em fits though that was more because I turned 15.
