@Old_Parr She’s a Social Democrat. She wants a Scandinavian model of politics. Tax the super wealthy and finally hold them accountable. They have hidden so much tax $$ for years and it has screwed regular folks over. Regular folks end up picking up the tax burden.

Taxing the rich and holding corporations and Wall St. accountable was the US system from FDR until the mid 70s or so. Since then corporations and the super wealthy have bought off our government, which has put a burden on the working class. Wages have been stagnant since the 80s even though work productivity has increased. She wants to give the power back to the people and finally hold the elite accountable.

Oh and it saves 2 trillion over 10 years to implement a Medicare For All system. It costs more to keep providing healthcare through for profit private health insurance companies. You want to keep the s-----y system we have? It has been proven to be a failure.

And it’s the moral thing to do. Thousands of citizens die each year because they can’t afford basic healthcare. And medical bills are out of control in the US. Medicare For All is the way to go. Everyone is covered and it’s cheaper than the system we currently have
