Mar 4, 2015 That is about the only good thing he had produced literally and figuratively in a long while. I do like kendrick, want a huge fan of bishop or any of his other artist.
Mar 4, 2015 Someone probably made a thread of this back in december when this was suppose to come out but idc. FINALLY
Mar 4, 2015 Jimmy iovine made all the real decisions. They knew whatever Em puts out it would make them millions. In the music business it's not about quality, it's about quantity (records sold)
Mar 5, 2015 Those 2 albums sound pristine, both in beats and overall mixing. Dre handled that end perfectly (and you can notice his absence in every project since). Beyond that, the guy doesn't even write his own raps, so it makes sense that he was no guide to quality lyrics.
Mar 5, 2015 Lol you guys aren't thinking about this the way I'm thinking. Wouldn't they have solved even MORE if the music was following the quality standard of TES? Eminem has been selling less (still a lot compared to everyone else) because of the quality of what's been released.
Mar 5, 2015 My impression of Dre is that he doesn't actually care about the music. He cares about his reputation as a producer. His production was on point so it's not like in his eyes he did anything wrong.
Mar 5, 2015 There is no quality standard to follow. Eminems career was always meant to have a downfall and so it did. Trying to blame Dre or the Label for allowing certain music to be released is pointless because it was a necessary step in the evolution of Rap Music.
Mar 8, 2015 Explain to me what Eminems career could have possibly looked like after Encore? Proof died so Eminem could "go away". That's how it happened. It's a career move if anything tbh.
Mar 8, 2015 bro. most people liked encore, it's done 11m worldwide. sure not everyone got where he was going with the drug humor but losing proof (which I can not even imagine going through) and one poorly orchestrated release seem to me to have less to do with any (at this point completely reversed) perceived lyrical decline than simply f---ing up his sleep schedule by diving headfirst into the shooting schedule. em ran s--- when it came to efficiently using studio time but that hollywood all day all night s--- threw him through a pretty big loop I think. maybe that's why he has an oscar but he's still a grouch, two sides of one coin kinda deal anyway getting back on topic I am obviously aware that all of this information is either incorrect or worthless after the fact however to answer your question, where else his career could have gone instead of another od and becoming convinced he was a shell of what he once was, I believe that, as long as we're doing could have beens, he could have gotten help with getting his circadian rhythm fixed after the murder (let's call it what it was) instead of just further internalizing everything and continuing the downward spiral. a spiral which again has been completely reversed anyway. was it even intentional to reverse it or was he only trying to survive doing the one thing he knew how from 08 on, and it just so happened that, NEWSFLASH, the drugs, all of them, were holding back shady's creativity from the moment of his conception to the moment of his rebirth
Mar 16, 2015 i liked encore f--- yall encore rain man thats my s--- i aint got no LEEEEEGS or no brain
