Jan 11, 2018 Now, at first this song had a bland vibe to me, a sort of underwhelming dread, similar to the feeling songs like Babylon gave me. But this song, after multiple listens, has come to be one of Kendrick's best to me. The bridge Kendrick sings leading into SZA's Sia inspired vocals is blissful, the simple yet melancholic instrumental ranks among the best Kendrick has rapped over (anybody get 2008-2010 Kanye vibes from this production?), but ultimately this verse glues it all together. Kendrick's always had a way to spit nearly biblical passages through his verses, this is not an exception. The writing here makes Dylan look like Dr. Seuss. Seriously, if you didn't like it at first take another listen, it's amazing. 10/10 @KendrickSXN
Jan 12, 2018 Too little Kendrick, too much SZA. Reminded me heavily of tracks Em gets sh---ed on, the verse from Kendrick is great tho
