    18 people arrested, two are unclear for whatever reason, but 11 are from the twin cities, and then five are from nearby: towns in minnesota or cities just over state lines, like la crosse and fargo. there's one guy from fort worth. that's it.

    Is there any tangible way of knowing that about the Xbox example? Like, couldn’t the exact opposite be argued, that in fact, they do know what they are doing by taking the Xbox and how it could have an affect on our society?

    Even if they are self serving, isn’t the outcome that they are still sticking it to a society that values large corporations and capitalistic ideologies over black lives? Even if they aren’t aware of it.

    That was before I knew the amount buddy. Ffs. And tbh a lot of teenagers have family support especially in Mass. You don’t and that’s too bad.

    And to be clear I’m here to help u in what ways I can. But I deserve more than being spit at. I’ve worked hard to be where I’m at in life. It wasn’t handed to me so that’s why I’m pushing back.

    Like I said earlier, I'm not saying that you or anyone speaking out against the riots are doing so because you agree with what the cops did—but it goes back to the priorities thing. Cuz I've never seen most of the people in this thread passionately arguing against police violence and racism like they do against looting Target. It's just sad to me that people's initial reaction is to condemn the riots instead of to condemn the murder and racism.

    Also, now that you and @Koolo are talking about 'vibes,' I don't wanna hear you guys talk about bad ever lyrics bringing down music again :emoji_wink:

    I understand what you're getting at, but...the vast majority of Kanye's career he spoke out against racism, police brutality, the prison industrial complex, etc. and I was a Kanye fan for 15 years before that. Dre's been consistent with his views throughout his entire career so no matter where you jumped in you'd be met with the same politics.

    Kanye's two worst albums came after the Trump pivot and I don't listen to those anyway. And even if I did listen to them, comparing the politics of Straight Outta Compton to ye is honestly laughable. NWA's political views are coherent and intrinsic to the record. Kanye's political views don't form any sort of coherent worldview on ye besides "I should be able to do whatever I want" and "i discovered women are people when Nori was born."

    the cops k--- a ton of white people too — they k--- everybody. but they k--- non-white people at a disproportionate rate, and the black people who are killed by cops are disproportionately unarmed.

    the 2015 protests in minneapolis were sparked by the police shooting and killing a black man who was already handcuffed.

    if anybody else killed someone like that on camera he’d be in jail already. (if it was a civilian who killed a cop he might never make it to jail.) did you catch the district attorney’s press conference yesterday? they have no intention of charging him with murder. i think the only reason they would now is to try to mitigate the damage.
