    My favorite thing is spacemonkeys posting this like it’s some sort of trump card when it’s like...yes I agree that American cops being trained by a police force that systemically targets, abuses, and murders Palestinians is a bad thing lol

    But I don’t even wanna know what conclusions he’s drawing from these tweets. I have a few guesses tho.

    I'm glad this is prompting change but I'm not confident this is gonna do much. We've seen on countless videos how many officers stand by while their coworkers murder and abuse people. It's an empty gesture until we start at the very least systematically firing and processing ALL officers who do this s---. As well as officers infringing on 1st amendment rights.

    Yea it was conflicting to me because I didn’t want to make it seem like some crocodile tears situation that I see so many other people doing, where it’s utter bs and they are doing to to save face.

    but then on the other hand, I have black people that I grew up with that I haven’t seen in years posting things like, “white people I know that aren’t speaking up, don’t think it goes unnoticed.” And then I’m thinking like, d---, do I make a post on social media that shows the world I’m on your side, or do I continue to donate and make moves behind the scenes. My close friends will know what I’ve done, but will the people I consider myself friends with that I haven’t seen in years as life puts us in different directions know the stuff I’ve done if I don’t talk about it in public.

    at the end of the day, I shouldn’t concern myself with these issues that are so minor in the grand scheme of things. But then I end up feeling like s--- for thinking about it in such a selfish manner lmao
