    I’m just so indifferent to all these statues either way. I didn’t even know a Francis Scott Key statue existed. If you never said anything, I would’ve never known it was being taken down either lol.

    Yeah there were some (peaceful) protest here as well. Which was good, aside from some people w bs screaming getting all the attention. Too bad we also had a anti lockdown protest w some r-----s just showing up to cause trouble. Luckily they got send away by police, and the ones that didn't listen got arrested and -probably/hopefully- get charged for it.

    Also a few statues were torn down which I dont think is the right way tbh

    Like, there are some dutch heroes that did well for our country that were also terrible when it comes to treating other humans. Racist b------s even, especially looking at it in 2020. But erasing history is imo NOT the way to do it.

    Teaching people/children (and maybe put something on the statues) that put things in historical context and also mention the bad sides of those people is the best way to do this imo. So like, yes he did great things for our country but also did some things that were -unfortunately- normal for that time, but are unacceptable. That way u can make people understand that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but still keep the things they did for the country relevant as well.

    ya we should all put up statues of Hitler cause he wasn't all bad. He made some decent paintings. Should also put up statues of the cast of the Big b--- Theory. I'm sure they all aren't that horrible and unfunny in real life as they are in the show. We don't need people forgetting about them because there's not a statue to remind them. There's no way to do that like teaching history to people instead

    Tearing down statues isn’t erasing history. Statues are meant for celebrating or commemorating a person or event and we shouldn’t be celebrating bad people. The statues belong in museums not as a monument.

    Define vocal. Tweets only go so far. Can’t speak for kdot, but I know for a fact Cole has been out on the streets with everyone else. My guess is Kendrick is cooking something up musically speaking.

    I’ll agree with this, but I also just had one of the most “wtf” moments today when seeing that 2 statues were torn down in Madison, WI. One of which was literally meant to represent progress. The other was of an anti/slavery union general.
