    Most new cases (here) are in meat factories and other places people work too close and hygene is s-----y. Outside almost no new infections develop

    There is a book and/or documentary about the death of comedy in 2015-2016... with Comedy Central losing Colbert and Stewart and Letterman retiring and Trump being elected which Trey Parker lamented by saying "satire has become reality."

    @cpt awesome WPG joint acc of course there is room for nuance in how we teach/write history, and a place like gw should have extensive, public information about george washington! but putting up statues of people is just idolatry lol. we don’t actually lose anything by taking those down. statues should be for, like... stan musial.

    I think the objective value of statues being ~idolatry (which, sure) is a diff discussion than what’s happening right now. If a city votes to remove a statue, or place it in a museum, fine. But pretending statues have no aesthetic or civic value bc it suits a charged political moment is wrong. My broader point is it’s just silly and short term, and gets co-opted by maga - thought the movement was about broader systemic change, not villainizing jenna marbles and who voices f---ing missy on big mouth lol.

    There’s a big difference between vandalizing/taking down confederate statues & shaming a big YouTuber lol. Nonetheless, I think there is a more sensical approach to this. I dont agree with all the statues that have vandalized/removed but like...I also don’t think it’s that big of a deal either. Should statues of Robert E Lee be removed? Absolutely. Should statues of Abraham Lincoln be removed? I don’t think so. (However, the Lincoln memorial in DC with him standing over a kneeling black man should probably be removed due to optics).

    The guy in the orange shirt is happy, all the other fa----s are losers, one's questioning his life cause he bought a car, ones an actual fa---- carrying a fa----, the others a dipahit who airs their opens online. Orange shirt guy isn't "intelligent" but he's faaaaaaaar better off than the other 3.
