Do you know why "black people have records"? Because they have never been able to gather generational wealth due to three centuries of enslavement, one century of legal segregation, and 50 years of status quo segregation. They were forced into communities with poor schooling, public access, and as a result have struggled to reach the middle class as a race. Poverty drives crime.

i know this is threading a needle, especially online where its this weird zero sum game but here me out: you can view the gov/police's response as gross injustice, but also decry mob mentality and crippling economic violence WHILE ALSO understanding why riots happen. again, not appreciating the long term neg impacts of these riots, or the community bruises that are left behind bc it feels righteous to safely encourage them afar is short sighted. tragedy shouldnt begat tragedy.

All cops are guilty yes. Because even the "good cops" fail to stand up to the bad ones. This is the actual real life poisoned apple scenario. The cops who do try and stop the corrupt cops are often victimized, bullied, and even left to die.
