    I'm arguing that the rioting is on a much smaller scale than the riots you are referring to and therefore have little to no correlation. Also that small business were much more common in 1968 than 2020 so yes the riots would have affected them at a higher rate. A company like target taking losses will have little to no impact on the economic situation on the ground in Minneapolis.

    is that what im saying? again im glad you guys have a cursory knowledge of the nations violent past but you must also be cognizant that change is frequently, deliberately slow and there's a number of instances of quieter change that isn't nearly as theatrical or destructive that have advanced the country. ffs the black panthers were largely a peaceful org. was it a massive full blown riot that led to gay marriage being accepted, or was it will & grace lol. u guys shouldnt assume im some dunce pollyanna bc i dont fully support the ~valueeeeee of pillaging distraught urban centers

    It's true. The fraternal nature of the police forces here mean that cops aren't allowed to speak out against these sort of things. It has led to those ones being arrested, blackmailed, killed in the line of duty, and all sorts of horrendous things.

    Its their livelihood. So if they dont talk but they dont horrible things. Then they do deserve to breathe

    I didn't say they deserve to die. I said that there are no good cops because they are failing the citizens they swear to protect by not speaking up. and because they have become essentially fraternal organizations, they will never fix that. So inherently, all cops are bad.
