I really liked that too but honestly I don't even compare HxH to any other anime, it's just the type of thing that has to be on its own. It's like a trip through the madness of whatever the insides of Togashi's head consists of. Due to the uniqueness of it, HxH does get away with some pretty ridiculous moves. I'm not talking about stuff that you would usually expect from shounen, more like starting an arc and then abruptly ending it.. Or spending around half the story so far on an arc that doesn't even seem like anything close to whatever the series started out to be. Or dumping important characters, never to be seen again. I enjoy it for the wild ride it is, but making a fair comparison between HxH and other anime is almost impossible.

So yeah, I loved the chimera ant arc and the Meruem/Komugi dilemma, but HxH is so unique to the point where I don't see any way to pick a scene from it and call it the best when it has certified itself as its own thing.

Then again I also don't really think of favorite scenes that much, or favorite anything outside of series as a whole.

Does any1 else itt have a favorite scene?

It's been sooo long since I watched Code Geass, I forgot all about that

Maybe I should rewatch it? Idk, I hear rewatching it isn't as good because you start paying more attention to the asspulls

It's a part of what made it so much fun though, it was completely unpredictable

I don't know if it's rewatch material and I don't want to risk ruining the positive image I have from it
